Volunteer Opportunities on the Snow!

Would you like to have more fun on the snow than you’ve ever had? Would you like to bring smiles and giggles to people who may be physically or mentally challenged?

Sign up to be a volunteer with Disabled Sports USA Far West. You will work (at least 4 days) at Alpine Meadows as a volunteer with a certified Ski Instructor. Your students may be anywhere between 4 years of age and 70. They may be able to talk, but not walk. They may be able to walk, but not talk. It’s all fun, it’s all exciting.

You only need to be an intermediate skier and be able to ski backwards on a beginner run (Subway). You should be strong enough to help a child get up onto his/her skis. Most of all, you need a lot of smiles and words of encouragement. “If I can do this, I can do anything” is their motto.
