Cross-Country Weekend @ the Cabin

Join Inskiers for a Cross-Country Weekend at the Cabin - February 5-7.   (Downhill skiers welcome, too!)

And now for something entirely different - and less expensive than downhill skiing!   There is a ton of snow in Tahoe and lots and lots of beautiful scenery.  Let's take advantage of it and do a cross-country ski weekend up at the cabin!

Come join us for the entire weekend or just for a day!

Here's the plan - (Scroll to the end for a sample of prices.)

Ski Tahoe-Donner on Saturday: http://www.tdxc.com/home

Tahoe-Donner's cross-country area is just approximately 1.5 miles from the cabin.  No experience is necessary (since I don't have any!  I'll be a beginner and I hope a few other beginners will want to join me in taking lessons.)  For  those of you who don't need lessons, there are plenty of trails of various levels available.   For those wanting to take lessons, we'll try and get to the area at 9AM to allow for equipment rental and to make the 10AM lesson!  We'll also form a group of more experienced skiers for a do it yourself tour of the area!

Ski  Royal Gorge on Sunday: http://www.royalgorge.com/

Royal Gorge, North America's largest cross-country resort, is located next to Soda Springs. Also, its on the way home, so you can still ski and make it back for the Super Bowl!  Or come back to the cabin for Super Bowl viewing!  We'll try and make it to the area at 9:30AM to allow for rental and sign up for the 10:30AM lesson. Or, if there are enough beginner people interested, and we're feeling confident, maybe we'll just get a cross-country tour or try on our own!   We'll also form a group of more experienced people for exploring the area.

Saturday night - we'll do a group dinner for those who want to participate (and just split the cost!)

To sign-up, just send in your reservation to cabin@inskiers.com.

Cost is $40 per night for Friday and Saturday night for members of Inskiers or another Singles League club and $45 for guests.
