1. Eligibility
Skiers and snowboarders are welcome and race in the same classes.
Kids under 17 are welcome if they drag their parents to race too. :)
The course should be easy for all levels and there is
no excuse not to race if your child wants to.
In case of unexpected high turnout registration may be limited to the
first 120 entries.
2. Personal Equipment.
Bring your slalom or just carving skis or carving/slalom snowboard.
No poles allowed.
No speed suits - regular skiing/riding clothes.
No slalom protective gear needed.
Helmets are required as in all events these days.
Bring your bib if you have one. You may be able
to use it in case of no conflicts.
Temporary bibs will be available.
3. Race classes.
Our pacesetting won't work in this new format the first time.
There will be only 8 classes: Jr., Open, Vet., Legend for men
and same for women.
4. Race format.
Each race will have 2 runs.
The best (not the total) of the two runs counts.
There will be 3 buoys set in every turn.
Making a turn around further buoy gives more points.
Innermost buoy gives 3 points,
next - 4 points,
outmost - 5 points.
Points in every turn are added together to make a total.
Racer score = runtime * 100 / totalpoints.
You will have to decide whether to take a wider slower
route with more points or straighter faster route with
less points in each turn.
Since this is a new concept, it is crucial that
we take few practice runs.
5. Training.
Practice course will be set and open from 9:30am till 11:30am.
The race should start at 12 noon.
The practice runs cost will be included in the race fee.
